Meet Angel Cruz on the Soapbox

If my esteemed readers think that I'm shamelessly promoting my friend in whatever humble manner my little blog can, they are absolutely correct. Angel Cruz is indeed a good friend of mine, and I would love to see him working with my white-skinned favorite twinks.

No problem, honey! I'll open with the obligatory "how did you end up doing porn?". Also tell us what else your life story includes. You went to university - how did you like that?

It all starts with a skinny gay boy with braces .... no really it does! I was always teased for being skinny and then I discovered what a twink was. Then I found out everyone wanted them.... I was in luck! So one day I just applied over at Cocodorm. I got accepted ... (wanna know a secret?) the members did not want me there are first: they just didn't like me. I was just coming out of the emo phase so i dint fit the type and they let me know it. But once I got there and did my first live scene (a threesome with Manny Baby and Lil Sebastion) they loved me and I loved them back.  

I'm a military brat: dad and stepdad were marines and dad was a cop. I was first born and just the quietest kid actually. It wasn't until I reached jr and sr year and came out and started slutting around that I developed any self esteem at all: so born was a fit. To me being sexually desirable was my confidence and well... let's say I had developed quite a bit of confidence!

I kinda slacked off during high school... I was, no I AM entirely too comfortable in my intellect. So when it came time to apply for college I said fuck it, took my SAT and ACT and my scores basically gave me a free pass to any school. I wanted to be a journalist with a minor in PR just like my older cousin so I went to ASU.  .. thats a lie: I was too chicken shit to tell my mom I wanted to leave Arizona and take my faggot ass to UNLV or NYU or univ of Miami. I wasn't out to her yet ... wasn't ready.

Needless to say I wasn't focused: I had no direction and felt a lot of pressure to do other things so eventually I just gave up and left ASU to be a hot lazy mess.... up until i landed in Florida for the dorm. 

What kind of work have you done during your model career? How have you liked it?

Lol, to be honest my work is limited ..

It sucks... mostly my fault. When i got into the industry I didn't take the time to know and understand what I was getting into. I applied to other places and was rejected. I know why ( I was fucking someone important at an Arizona based studio who told me ... I confronted the owner and he confirmed in a rude way) and at the time, while I did posses the gift of gab, I wasn't sure how to focus it or even where to focus it.

I loved the work i did!  It was a great way to explore! COCODORM is a blatino site and up until them I hadn't really had much experience with other men of color in the bedroom. Latino men had seemed to dominate my list of conquests... as extensive as it was ... it was not until after I went to the dorm that black men even seemed attracted to me! My first really big dick was on cam. My ex "Danger Zone" (now known as Black Lyon) was the first black top I ever experienced and the first cock that caused me some REAL pain ... I loved it tho .... lol 

From then on I decided that as long as I was in front of the camera my sole goal would be to explore my own sexuality and share it with my fans and people who followed my career. That is what it is about. People don't wanna see us do the things we are used to doing in our personal lives: they wanna see us do new stuff and make their fantasies come true. And in front of the camera I believe that  genuine chemistry and curiosity is appreciated much more than seeing the same thing over and over again. 

You can always tell when a guy is bored with what he's doing . Always. You can tell when models have fucked before. Or are so numb to the scenario they go thru the motions: there's nothing fresh about it and it's boring. I'm all about pushing my own envelope. That's what fans want to see me do on camera. Invent and explore.

Where do you see yourself in five years? Are you still going to be in the industry?

In five years i see myself .... turning 18 again lol! Jk! No really in five years I hope to be doing one of two things: running my own talent agency or in a place with a current talent agency that enables me to develop and help new talent grow. It's weird because I have the on cam and off cam experience: I know what it's like to be a model who wants to do more work but is not  given the chance. I think that would make me a better agent .

I believe that the right approach to an agency or even a new division to a current standing firm strictly dedicated to new model development could be the best way to bridge the gap. There's a lot of talent that gets overlooked regularly. It happens because these guys don't know any better.

Example: Damon Augdier. That kid is an entertainer: he is hot and possesses many talents both on and off cam and we haven't seen much of him at all this year. Where is he?

Or Baby Star: a fellow Cocodorm alum. People sing his praises of how hot he is. Why hasnt he worked with Citiboyz ? Suite 703? To be honest his body is reminiscent of a younger Brent Everret and he should be every-fucking-where but he isn't.


I could go on and on about  all the talent that gets mishandled or not handled at all. It wouldn't matter until Howard or someone else offers me a job (I'm gonna keep saying it lmao). You and I both know Chase Coxxx has a massive ... following. Why isn't he being marketed everywhere ?

I think that what I have experienced and am working for now will enable me to be a better and more effective talent rep and PR spec. I believe am agent is loyal to his models and nothing else. He is supposed to guide them and show them how to be successful. And that is why Howard from Fabscout should hire me now. LOL

I'm fun, I'm flirtatious, I'm fiercely loyal and dedicated. I think that's pretty much me in my private life

I'm a gamer. A BIG one ... Im so FUCKING PISSED  that DC universe online will be ps3 only and I'm contemplating buying one just for that sole reason.

I'm a comic nerd too (don't get me started on how many Flashes there really were not including crisis of infinite Earths Flashes cause I will lose my mind).

I'm reaaaaallly shy. When I met Sam Colt at a bar in Tucson I was too scared to go up and say hi! I twitter stalked him and when i finally did say hi I stuttered and was so embarrassed when fact is he is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. He's fucking hot too.

But I'm pretty much the same guy: my humor is so left of center though...  I'm always scared of offending anyone. 

You have things to say about ethnic minorities in adult entertainment industry. What kind of obstacles do you guys face and how would you improve the situation?

Ok, here is the thing . A lot of people don't get the problem. Some do, some don't care, others are assholes.

Let's deal with asshole first. Who the fuck thought it was ok to put images of Klansmen and burning crosses on the front page of the front fucking page of a blog? Zach Sire that's who. 

I'm done with that. 

The real problem isn't just about use getting work ... if people look at the blog you and i wrote together they would see the real issue. We are depicted as thugs and muscle fuckers. Not much else in the mainstream. DOMINANTLY, the big black cock punishing the tight white hole. How old is that shit ? 

The fact is there are so many men of color comparable to the other stars seen in mainstream that it's disheartening how we aren't all working together. Looking back at our blog we were able to show that there is more to the sexual repertoire of men of color and physically they are often as attractive or more attractive than there Caucasian counterparts. 

Why is there not one black guy on nextdoortwinks.com? 

Why hasn't Afton Nills ever used one? 

Citiboyz does ... sparingly ?

Why, their members ask me ... why haven't you worked with them yet? I can't answer this: only they can. I'm sick of telling people I don't know as it's def not for my lack of trying. Or others' either. It's up to them to answer now.

Some of the guys they use are hideous and I know some of the models personally.  They are NOT OBJECTING TO BLACK DICK. Ask Hayden Chandler...  he WANTS it... and many of them do.

However when publications like Cybersocket are so lazy when compiling lists about performers of color to put the same guy on a list of the hottest latino men and hottest black guys I assume they just don't know any better but as a journalistic publication they should dig deeper.

I can only hope they day comes when I have the podium and someone behind me (call me Howard!) that can back up what I'm saying and will echo what I say about how these changes can BENEFIT STUDIOS.

If money wasn't an issue I'd be running  a studio! Daily life though just a dayjibe the husband and my dogs ... writing my blog and dreaming big ... IM A REGULAR GUY lol .... I take birkam yoga and play xbox. I love chicken nuggets as well ...and wait for Howard from FabScout to call  or email me.
